Paris is a capital full of culture in all its forms: lots of museums, sculptures, monuments, paintings, artists, building. Art is literally everywhere in The City of Lights. Let’s discover the main districts of Street Art in Paris.

Paris La Villette – Street Art

The 19th arrondissement of the capital is particularly full of urban art. The edges of Ourcq canal is one of the must-see in Parisian Street Art. “L’Été du canal“ offers Street Art visits by foot or from a cruise ship. 

Some festivals are organized in this district, like “Ourcq Living Colors Festival” for 12 years. This festival is here to make better social interactions in the district around cultural events like this. The festival also brings dynamism and colors in this part of Paris. It is organized by the Cultures Pas Sages association and the artist dAcRuZ

Every artist of the festival has 24 hours to decide what to paint. They’ll paint during the weekend with a group of 2 or 3 other artists. Then, they keep the paintings all the year and recover it after in order to welcome the next edition.

Indeed, the street artists present are international and they mix their techniques to produce beautiful murals. For example, artistes like Vinie, Louis Masai, Batsh have already attended this event.

The districts of Street Art in Paris are numerous, but the 13th arrondissement is a must-see. For example, you can observe that the Vincent Auriol boulevard has 26 pieces of art. One of the most famous is the “Liberté, Égalité, Fraternité” enormous mural, by Shepard Fairey, an American street artist. This mural is created in commemoration of the attentat of 15 November, this painting is the motto of the country with the Republican colors. It is actually beautiful to observe.
